Class:
Welcome to the VGCC Paramedic Class 2012 online blog. This blog will be used to supplement your skills you are learning in class, and help get you used to reading and examining written problems to prepare you for the State exam. Each week I will post a new blog with questions at the end that you will be required to answer via e-mail. For week 1, I would like each of you to e-mail me a short biography introducing yourself and telling me why you want to be a Paramedic. I have posted a short bio introducing myself below so that you can use it as a guideline.
I hope you find this blog to be a valuable tool that will enhance your analytical skills and prepare you to be an excellent paramedic.
My name is Randy Nunn and I am a Paramedic with Granville EMS. I live in Baltimore, MD where I am attending UMBC for my bachelors in Emergency Health Services Management. I am a Cadet and a Sergeant in the Maryland Army National Guard, where I am assigned to the 175th Infantry as a Medical Operations Officer. I've wanted to be a Paramedic since I was 16 years old, immediately following the events of 9/11. I was extremely inspired by the actions of the fireman and first responders in NYC that it led me to want to help people, and being a Paramedic gives me just the ability to do that.
